The State Historical Building of Iowa is located in the heart of Des Moines’ bustling East Village. The iconic building has the versatility to accommodate all types of events, from large celebrations to smaller meetings and everything in between.
Large Events
The atrium is perfect for wedding receptions, corporate holiday parties, business receptions, large presentations, gatherings and more. The Grand Terrace is a popular choice for large outdoor celebrations and offers stunning views of the state capitol.
Small Events
If you are looking for a space to accommodate small groups, the State Historical Building is a great venue for company meetings, retreats, team outings and luncheons. Consider the auditorium for film screenings, presentations and lectures or book one of the multiple classrooms and meeting spaces for your board meeting, planning session or luncheon.
