History Mystery: Live From the Museum
Welcome to Goldie's Detective Agency
You're a new recruit for the Goldie's Detective Agency and we need your help to solve a history mystery. Join museum staff to investigate historic objects from the museum collection and discover the interesting stories behind unique artifacts. Junior Detectives (recommended for ages 8-12) and their adults can help solve history mysteries by registering to attend our 45 minute program at the State Historical Museum of Iowa. The History Mystery program is free to attend and advanced registration is required. While attending this program, each child (recommended for ages 8-12) must be accompanied by an adult for its duration.
Investigate History Mystery Objects
Calling all history detectives! Discover unique objects from the State Historical Museum of Iowa's collection through these digital History Mystery activities. Goldie's Kids Club members will use their skills of deduction, critical thinking and visual literacy to identify the multiple artifacts (in videos and photos) and uncover their connections to Iowa history.
